12 years ago I wrote this blogpost and it is still so valuable to me today, August 12, 2025.
“Question: Is It Only the Minority That Can Understand Spiritual Truth?
Answer: The truths of the spirit are very simple. They can be grasped by all; they are intended for all. It is not part of the divine plan that there should be a small sect, a divinely favored few. It is the many we are trying to reach because it is the many with whom we are concerned.”
Interpretation Truth and Trust
The word TRUST, such a small step away from TRUTH, came to me in April 2012, when I was at the Arthur Findlay College and I decided to give it a go on the platform in the Sanctuary. What better place to “play” with an idea and get inspired than in a place where the Spirit World is most tangible.
Now, about two months later, I can still feel the joy of presenting it, I can still feel the inspiration, I still know some of the words spoken then.
When I think of TRUST I feel there is experience behind it and learning.
Being Your Self
When we started our way further into the world and tried to literally stand on our own two feet, at one point we knew we could TRUST ourselves to be able to just do that.
The next stage .. walking .. putting one foot in front of the other .. the experience .. the excitement .. the falling .. the encouragement from our loved ones to try it again .. the TRUST .. that we can do it .. we can walk!!
For most of us those days are long gone. They have changed into a lifetime of discoveries about ourselves and we have found out, that we can build on all those moments that have brought us in the here and now. We have arrived and passed the stage where we discover that we have to TRUST ourselves and our own capabilities. No longer can we put our TRUST into someone else to tell us what to do or what not to do, what is good for us and what is not. We have progressed into human beings with our own personal responsibility.
Trust Does Not Come Easy
Living a Spiritual Life
It is my conviction, that for each and everyone alive on this earth there comes a time when we turn to living a more Spiritual life, meaning, we try to find out about life and what it is about. It is in understanding the little things of life, or should I say, accepting life as it develops around us, that we can find peace, that we can TRUST things will become right for us, once again. It is like a universal law, inevitable.Childhood - Spirituality - Ours - Normal Behavior?
Some of us have known a childhood filled with Spirituality. Growing up, for instance, in a Churchgoing family, teaches us the rules of conduct in our society. These rules are usually very strong and strict and with the development of our individuality we tend to turn away from them. In fact, we turn away from rigidity. Then, especially when we find ourselves in a difficult situation, it is discovered that people are turning towards some form of Spirituality. In times of war or natural disasters people discover they need one another to survive. This is a natural law. This is what we then learn. We have to take care of each other and I’m speaking here about normal and healthy human behavior. The joining and sharing of forces, of knowledge to survive comes to the surface. This is also a matter of TRUST. Natural laws cannot be broken.Overcoming Fear
One of the main things to overcome here is fear. It seems, that in growing up, we allow ourselves to be kept in a position where we don’t explore anymore like when we were children. We are afraid to explore ways to develop and grow. Have we forgotten the joy of discovering what lies around the corner, what is waiting for us out there? This is an open invitation to all of you out there. Don’t hide .. show yourself in all your beauty, discover your own way to start blooming again, re-LEARN who you really are, TRUST, have faith, BE ..
With love,
Juliet Joan
