South Korea - 10

Back home.

Last week Tuesday we left Dong Hae. After a day in Seoul we left the country.

My stay in South Korea was quite an adventure. We have not been able to do much sightseeing, but what I saw of the country is beautiful. It is very mountainous and the flora is quite different from Europe. There are lots of gingko biloba trees and I have learnt that those were imported a while ago.

The gingko biloba is a very interesting tree. On the internet I found quite a lot of information about it and also a website by a Dutch lady, completely dedicated to it. I can recommend it to you if you are interested."http://kwanten.home.xs4all.nl/index.htm">

I am happy to say that I have the opportunity to return to South Korea in August for a couple of weeks. Staying there takes me away from the comfort zone of my house and I have discovered that I am very capable of creating an atmosphere of love and lightness in the rather neutral zone of a hotel suite. The outlook of being in an unfamiliar country with a huge language barrier may sound scary ..to discover that with normal behaviour and a friendly smile one can overcome those barriers is wonderful. Most of all I look forward to hat wonderful spa, swimming pool and gym :0)
