South Korea II - 4

Being in South Korea this second time is quite different. It is summer and very hot. Looking out of the window I can see the beach full of people enjoying the summer.

Last Thursday evening there was a fireworks party .. the most beautiful fireworks I have ever seen. Speaking of fireworks .. every shop near the beach sells them and everyone can buy as much as they like, so when it is dark, around 8 in the evening people start shooting .. It is such fun to watch the lights and the shooting stars and the colours. Everyone is so relaxed. The temperature reminds me of the tropics. In the evening it only cools just a bit but then it is much more agreeable.

Today, and we are a couple of days later, the temperature is much milder. It is very lovely and I spend my days outside, reading books that have been downloaded on the iPad some time ago.

There are also some hard copy books, that I brought with me, of course. Reading is my number 1 favourite hobby and I will never completely let go of "paper books".
E-book reading takes getting used to, but the idea of carrying around more than 200 books in a tablet is wonderful. Having your most favourite books always at hand is certainly worh considering.

Several organizations have published books that are out of copyright for the benefit of everyone.  Interesting thought, that we can download the great names from world literature for free and then .. if we can find the time to do so .. even read them.
