In a practice group I was asked to speak of "Joy".
Why Joy?
First thing that came to mind was to say "I need joy and I do not allow joy enough to be a permanent part in my life. Oops, I did realize then that I had to speak inspirationally, so that is what I mentioned as well and only then did I take the time to become still.Letting go and being Inspired
After a deep breath I went into that quiet part of mine, that is called the subconscious (creative??) mind and as I have no clear knowledge of what I had said, just had the sensation of "it felt good", I wanted to repeat the exercise, but now in writing. What is joy? Is it a state of mind and what does it mean exactly?
Different people have different perceptions and ideas. There can be joy in doing something you like to do, there can be joy in seeing something beautiful, there can be joy in eating something delicious, in an excellent performance, a good conversation, catching someone's smile or .. smiling in recognition of someone else, there can be joy in feeling different things, it is in fact a sensation that causes a pleasant feeling. Ah!! Finding out what you are meant to be and do this world brings utter joy as well. It is also that feeling of being complete, just the way you are.
What is it with words, anyways. All the words that people use can be experienced a bit differently, having to do with a different background, social status, culture and their interpretation may be impossible to describe in words.
Joy is magical, is colour and sunshine and rain and all those things that want to keep you in that space of one-ness, that space where you feel no beginning or end, where time stands still, where you fly and are at one with Spirit, yours and the rest, where you cannot think anymore but just hand over to whatever there is that we also cannot describe .. you may call it God.
Appropriate quote
“Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.”― Dr. Seuss
I felt this as coming from my own soul.
With joy
