Yesterday I looked through my blogposts written during the years. It is so interesting to notice the kind of subjects I have felt the urge to write about. With some exceptions it has always been about my daily life and the last couple of years mostly in Dutch. Thanks to all available translation programs nobody has felt left out, I assume.
There has been a remarkable change from musing about my personal development to more daily topics and as mentioned before, writing is my favourite outlet. Sitting behind my desk and let the fingers do their job on the keyboard is fun, no need to have a specific subject in mind. But .. that mentioned .. at some point something comes up, something that needs to be done urgently. It is happening right now.
"Get one of your card decks and see if you can work out something (as a direction for yourself to act upon) for the next couple of days." The first question is, of course, which one shall I choose?
Pause.
Great! I am restricting myself to three decks. Symbols of the healing angels (Ingrid Auer), Mother Earth cards (Jamie Sams), Peace cards (Spiritualist National Union).
Because of my playful mood I am going to work with my pendulum to help me choose between the three. Definitely Mother Earth today! Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle the deck before picking a card. The one I have picked today is nr. 41. Death of the Shaman. This is a sign of death and rebirth.
In Shamanism death is not seen as an end, but as the transition from old thought patterns to new beginnings. It means the end of a cycle and it is also an invitation to watch that part of Self that is dying/not necessary anymore. In order to support the birth process of the new life cycle it is important to let go of the old and make room for the new life cycle. Rebirth is always full of promises and growth.
I look forward to the growth, because that is what is meant here and one is never too old for that.
With love,
Juliet Joan
