South Korea - 7

Yesterday we had dinner at a real Korean restaurant where we had to sit in the Korean style .. cross-legged on the floor. No fish for dinner but meat (pork and duck). You have to know that I am not a vegetarian. I eat very little meat, but I found out, that I need it every now and then.

Yesterday I performed great in the swimming pool. 20 laps of 50 metres. Boy, I was so proud of myself. Did it again today. The physical condition is really improving. In many ways I discover how "working out" affects my body .. all positive so far. Not only that, but the fantastic weather helps to work on my tan as well. Never in my life have I permitted myself to enjoy luxury this much. I do feel a bit spoilt.

I read a lot. I have filled my iPad with e-books, but also took a couple of "normal" books with me. Yesterday I started to read Michael Ondaatjes' "The cat's table". It is a lovely book.

Going on sightseeing tours is not really part of my stay, thus far. For hubby, this is working time but I drag him to the gym whenever time permits.

Tomorrow we'll go to Gumi, about 4 hours away from here. Gumi is really a very industrial city, but I hear they have a beautiful temple that I can reach easily.</>
