Fitness and Juliet




I am not going to bother you with facts about fitness everyone already knows. Moreover, I was a person who stayed away from the fitness centres, feeling I did not belong there, what a waste of time to spend indoors when there is outdoors as well.

What I want to share with you is my personal "discovery" of the benefits of fitness.
Some of you may have read about my "Adventures in South Korea". Well, one of them was about discovering fitness.
While I was there I did not have a lot on my hands .. there was a fitness room available .. 1+1=3 and I decided to give it a go.

The personal trainer I mentioned before did not give quite the same guidance as I have got to know after I came back back home. The gentleman instructed me how to use the machines for cardio fitness and strengthening the muscles, but .. I had to find out by myself what was good and what was not good for me.

Now .. I love my body, take rather good care of it (I thought) so I went to the gym on a daily basis for more than three weeks. I had a daily routine of about 45 minutes and I felt GREAT. Not only to discover my discipline, but I felt fitter and more positive than before. 

That period is now entered into the books as "the period I was loosening the body", which was great!!
Well, I decided to go to the fitness centre in my village to continue the process of well-being.




They have some interesting programs to choose from and there is an instructor present at all times.
We (yes hubby came along with me :0))) had a condition test taken by our former neighbour Cathelijne, a grown up woman now. She works there as an instructor, which is great.
It gives me the feeling of extra care.
We can always ask for extra guidance and instruction on the workout machines.

So far the benefits for us are:
* loads of energy.
* loss of weight (well .. not too much yet, that wasn't the primary goal to begin with).
* my legs .. I have not been wearing support stockings for more than 6 weeks now.

* the swings of hubby when playing golf have improved CONSIDERABLY.
