Fitness and Juliet - 2



Today, 4 weeks after my last post, I have some interesting news.
My blood was checked in the lab last week.
My cholesterol which was too high, is completely NORMAL. This is not due to pills, this is due to the fitness work outs I do on top of the fact, that I have introduced something new in my way of eating.

I have not become a saint all of a sudden. I eat the usual three meals, but more vegetables than before and in between I have at least two extra "snack" times, where I eat different fruits, fresh as well as dried, like prunes, dates and figs. I also drink 1 1/2 to 2 litres of water/tea during the day.
My weight has dropped 3 kilos (it has also melted away from the "critical" body parts).
You can imagine that after this result of about 9 weeks I will remain a regular in the gym.
There is always the presence of Cathelijne or one of her colleagues, willing to give some extra support, which is nice.


The advice given to people to try and exercise at least 3 times a week for at least half an hour is great. I have my daily walks with the dog so I exercised much more than that.
NOT ENOUGH!! At least not for me.

I cannot find the time to go to the gym on a daily basis and to say that it is fun, would not be correct. The results are exciting and I would advise everybody to try it.

Please don't tell your self that it is no use, no good, boring. Pushing yourself to go over there for a couple of weeks will pull you out of your lethargy.

Check out your local gym for special offers and special programs, they might even have medical programs to support you when you have diabetes or high blood pressure. Mine has!!
