Healthy water from the East Sea aka Japanese Sea - part 2

In the coming period I shall publish a number of "posts" on the benefits of sea water, to be more precise "East Sea water". Please feel free to share this information.

I do hope to have drawn your interest in my experiences with and investigations of this particular Sea water.

When the water of the spa at the hotel touched my skin for the first time it felt like velvet. It surprised me because it was a very unusual feeling. The temperature was perfect and my skin started to tingle. These sensations and other events made me very curious and I tried to find information on this water. The hotel manager in charge of the spa and the swimming pool gave me information with data on the composition and the benefits of that particular water. I was impressed!! Today I decided to write a blog about the benefits to share this particular information.

The Sea of Japan is a marginal sea of the western Pacific Ocean, between the Asian mainland, the Japanese archipelago and Sakhalin. It is bordered by Japan, North Korea, Russia and South Korea. Like the Mediterranean Sea, it has almost no tides due to its nearly complete enclosure from the Pacific Ocean. This isolation also reflects in the fauna species and in the water salinity, which is lower than in the ocean. The sea has no large islands, bays or capes. Its water balance is mostly determined by the inflow and outflow through the straits connecting it to the neighboring seas and Pacific Ocean. Few rivers discharge into the sea and their total contribution to the water exchange is within 1%.

The seawater has an elevated elevated concentration (95%)of dissolved oxygen that results in high biological productivity. Doesn't that sound amazing?

Okay!! I knew nothing at all about the benefits to my wellbeing when I first entered the water. I just like to swim and dwell in water. To read about the benefits afterwards was proof for me, that bathing in that particular water has influenced me positively.

First of all, after my first session I felt dehydrated, so I had to drink loads of water with the known effect - it cleansed really well.

Second. My skin became really soft and especially my feet and nails looked as fresh as those from a little child.

My breathing was much better, didn't have to use the medication against allergies (that of course, could have happened because of the sea air, outside :0))

I felt so energized and stimulated and relaxed --> better sleep!

In the next post I shall summarize the more general benefits as presented to me by the hotel manager.
