Healthy water from the East Sea aka Japanese Sea - part 3

According to the manager in charge of the "Medical Hot Spring for Healing and Recovery" in the hotel in Dong Hae, there are only three hot springs in South Korea, recognized by law. The one in Dong Hae is considered "one of the best" because of the specific elements contained in it.

In general Medical Hot Springs help to:

* improve physical health

* enhance mental relaxation

* improve blood circulation and take care of vasodilatation

* boost metabolism

* stimulate the central nervous system

* cure skin diseases such as atopic or chronic dermatitis

* improve recuperation

* guides the autonomous nervous, endocrine and immune systems to the natural biorhythm

There is a note to all this!!

While salt bathing is relaxing and healing it can be challenging to your circulatory system because you are cleansing while in the bath. Therefore, if you have a weak heart or other heart problems consult your doctor before taking salt baths.

After having been able to enjoy this water of the Jijangsoo spring for a month, I have become a huge fan. In my previous post I already mentioned the personal benefits. Moreover, they have infrared light above several of the baths which makes it even more delightful.

There is something else, though. I have been wearing support stockings for years. I have not been wearing them for five weeks now. I have no idea how long this will last, but my legs feel great and they look great.

I truly have no idea of the influence of other seawater on the body, because I have no other personal experience. What I would advise you is to try and find a spa with seawater and enjoy it. Whether it is for relaxation or something to do with your health .. give it a try.

The next time I am in South Korea I shall try to find out if there is quality salt for sale, so that every now and then I can indulge myself with a footbath when I am back home.
