To focus = (in the context of this blog) Concentration of Attention.
This evening I withdrew in my office with the assignment to myself to put some order in my thoughts and in all the things I want to do.
I cannot understand that people are bored, not knowing what to do with their time, in fact even planning NOT to do anything at all is part of my program.
Hmm .. sounds peculiar? Well, that is how it is over here and in order to proceed and enjoy all the abundance, I have to focus.
Within two minutes after sitting behind my computer I found a free to download e-book, can you already guess the title?
It is called Focus and written by Leo Babauta, one of the most succesful bloggers of our time (so I read).

The book is, of course, very interesting and it describes very well the art of focussing.
His starting point is Zen. Well, for my own peace of mind, because I am not well informed into Zen, I shall translate that into Meditation.
In fact it is also a guideline into a form of time management and may I be so bold as to say, that if we are able to end our day making a to-do list for tomorrow, with the most important task on top, we can go to sleep peacefully. In the morning when we wake up, let us not start opening the mailbox or Facebook or whatever social media that takes us way beyond where we want to go, but let us start the day fresh with that to do list, and start at the top of it, just the way we planned it before. [Note: it goes easier when you replace to-do-list into forget-me-not-list].
Okay, how about my focus today.
I did not plan finding this book on the Internet, finding it went almost automatically, meaning my "problem" is a very general one, one that other people have been confronted with and find solutions for.
Years ago, when still working for a boss I did a time management training .. and oh .. it is so easy to let go of the discipline.
I remember myself planning in the past. It was almost rigid to other people, but to me it meant freedom. All the blank spots in my diary were mine to do whatever it was I wanted to do.
So .. welcome to the world of Focus .. and another thing .. one of my priorities today was writing a blog 0:)
With love,
Juliet Joan
